Fourteen items, 1747-1750, are papers of the London solicitor Joshua Sharpe concerning a dispute over the apportionment of the North Carolina General Assembly. Six items, 1756-1760, concern Henry E. McCulloh's difficulties with the Crown and John Carteret, Earl Granville, over the terms under which he had been granted lands. Two items, 1760-1761, concern a dispute between Governor Arthur Dobbs and the General Assembly over choosing a colonial agent in London.
